NQ Tenpin Atherton is a friendly 10 lane bowling centre located in the heart of Atherton on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. Serving our local community and visitors to Far North Queensland's stunning highland region, we provide entertainment for families, social groups, league bowlers, and tourists exploring the Tablelands.

As we head into the new year, we're seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our staff.

💼 The Role

We are looking for a personable and reliable Bowling Centre Attendant to provide outstanding customer service and ensure our guests have a memorable experience.

This is a permanent part-time position on a rotating fortnightly roster, ideal for someone who enjoys a varied role combining customer service, hospitality, and general facility operations.

📋 Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Welcome guests and assign lanes using our computerised booking system
Handle telephone enquiries and manage lane reservations
Provide assistance and guidance to bowlers of all skill levels
Process transactions and handle cash and electronic payments
Assist with birthday party and group booking coordination

Café & Food Service

Prepare and serve food and beverages in the cafe
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
Take food and drink orders and deliver to lanes

Marketing & Administration

Assist with social media content creation and posting
Respond to email enquiries professionally
General administrative tasks including word processing and data entry

Facility Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness throughout the centre including lanes, players area and seating
Clean and sanitise bathroom facilities
Vacuum and mop floors as required
Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests

⭐ About You

✅ Essential Requirements

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
Computer literacy including email, word processing, and point of sale systems
Social media experience (Facebook, Instagram) for marketing purposes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform cleaning duties
Availability to work the rostered hours including weekends

💎 Desirable Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service
Food safety certificate or willingness to obtain
RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
Experience with bowling centre operations
